Dr. Ann Mitchell, MD, Endocrinologist.

Research shows that 7 in 10 women with PCOS don’t even know they have it, and most never realize it’s the reason they can’t lose weight.

I'm Dr. Ann Mitchell, MD, and I've been an endocrinologist specializing in women's hormonal health for over 12 years now. And lately, more and more women have been coming into my clinic with the same frustrations:

"Why can't I lose weight no matter what I try?"

"Why do I feel bloated and exhausted all the time?"

"Why does my body hold onto fat even when I barely eat?"

For years, I've explained that the issue isn't laziness, lack of discipline, or willpower.

It's PCOS.

More specifically, it's the insulin resistance, elevated cortisol, and sluggish lymphatic drainage that come with PCOS.

“How Do I Find Out If I Have PCOS?"

PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) sounds clinical when you read about it online.

But in real life, it looks like this:

❌ Having irregular or missed periods
❌ Longer, painful, or heavy periods
❌ Gaining weight even when you eat less than everyone else
❌ Feeling bloated and tired for weeks at a time
❌ Intense sugar and carb cravings that feel impossible to ignore
❌ Thinning hair on your head, excess hair elsewhere
❌ Acne that won't clear up (especially along your jawline)

If any of this sounds familiar, you might be struggling with PCOS. I strongly encourage you to speak with your doctor about testing.

But what I'm about to share has helped thousands of women lose 30-40 lbs within 6 weeks – with or without PCOS.

Why Generic Diets May Have Little to No Impact on PCOS Weight

If keto, intermittent fasting, or calorie counting truly solved the problem, millions of women with PCOS wouldn't still be struggling.

Yet month after month, the scale continues to creep upward for so many.

That’s because PCOS fundamentally changes how your body processes food:

  • Insulin resistance increases, promoting fat storage instead of fat burning.

  • Cortisol levels rise, signaling your body to hold onto fat.

  • Lymphatic drainage slows, causing bloating, inflammation, and water retention.

Due to these hormonal disruptions, fat distribution completely changes.

Due to these hormonal disruptions in PCOS, fat distribution completely changes.

The thing is, these diets only address calories or macros. They can help with general weight loss in healthy women.

But they don't address the blockers in PCOS, and the hormonal changes happening throughout your menstrual cycle.

With PCOS, insulin resistance worsens at certain times of the month – especially when combined with stress, poor sleep, and the wrong foods at the wrong time.

This results in:

❌ Slower metabolism
❌ Fat being stored instead of used for fuel
❌ A cycle of constant weight gain

That's why generic diets simply aren't enough to get rid of stubborn fat gain.

It’s Not About What You Eat – It’s About When

Since insulin resistance has a tendency of worsening and improving throughout the menstrual cycle, I started connecting the dots between a cycle-based diet and PCOS weight loss

And this completely changed how I approached treatment.

Instead of taking supplements like inositol or berberine, drinking apple cider vinegar or green tea, or skipping meals to ‘reset’ your hormones…

You eat everything. You don’t cut anything out.

You just change the timing of when you eat those foods.

Insulin resistance has a tendency of worsening and improving throughout the menstrual cycle.

The female body goes through 4 different phases of a menstrual cycle:

  1. Menstrual (bleeding)

  2. Follicular (egg preparation)

  3. Ovulation (egg release)

  4. Luteal (uterine lining thickening for potential pregnancy)

Here's what most doctors don't tell you:

Insulin resistance is at its highest during the luteal phase.

This means if you slash calories during the follicular or ovulation phases, you might lose weight.

But during the luteal phase? You will not lose anything. In fact, you might even gain weight despite eating less. That's because your body is hormonally programmed to resist fat loss during this time – especially with PCOS.

And that's what led me to finding a method called PCOS detox.

What Is a ‘PCOS Detox’?

It's not a supplement.
It's not a cleanse.
It's not a strict workout plan.

It's a way of eating that threads through those different phases with maximum efficiency, without cutting ANY food groups out.

Finally losing weight with PCOS and keeping it off for good.

I started recommending this cycle-based approach to my patients, and the results were great.

But here's what happened next:

They had a lot of questions. They'd come back into my office asking for specific nutrition advice – meal timing, portion sizes, which foods to eat when – that I couldn't give them as fully as a nutritionist would.

I'm an endocrinologist, not a dietitian. I understood the hormonal science, but I couldn't create personalized meal plans for every patient.

So, I started looking for a solution that could do it for them.

That's when I found Cycle Diet.

The Cycle Diet.

Backed by science, this specific PCOS detox plan has been shown to:

✅ Improve insulin sensitivity
✅ Reduce inflammation
✅ Balance hormones
✅ Help the body release stored fat (especially around the belly)

Women following it reported more energy, fewer cravings, better digestion, and, most importantly, steady, natural fat loss.

Unlike restrictive diets, it doesn't push your body into more stress. Instead, it works WITH your hormonal rhythm, making weight loss feel natural and sustainable.

And the best part?

There's no calorie counting, no carb-cutting extremes, no exhausting workouts, and definitely no living at the gym.

Instead, it's a sustainable, hormone-friendly plan – designed specifically to support women navigating PCOS.

I've Shared This Cycle-Based PCOS Detox With My Patients – and the Results Have Been Incredible

I took a closer look at Cycle Diet’s PCOS Detox, and it was truly mind-blowing.

It is tailored to your personal needs and preferences.
It takes into account your age, symptoms, cycle patterns, and weight loss goals.

And finally, it builds a personalized plan designed around YOUR cycle.

It even shows you a projected weight loss timeline if you follow the plan.

Then they give you:

✅ An all-details-inclusive cycle-based PCOS detox blueprint with a day-by-day meal plan
✅ Grocery lists to save time and eliminate guesswork
✅ Hormone-friendly workouts that support your cycle instead of fighting it
✅ Progress trackers to see what's actually working for your body

No guesswork. No harsh restrictions.

To my surprise, this WAS actually one of the most advanced and practical approaches I'd come across.

I began recommending this cycle-based plan in my clinic, and the results have been truly transformative.

Women's results from Cycle Diet's PCOS Detox.

Women who had been stuck in cycles of fatigue, bloating, and plateaued weight loss were finally seeing movement on the scale and in their energy.

On average, my patients were shedding up to 30-40 lbs in just 6 weeks, along with better mood, clearer thinking, and more stable energy throughout the day.

And perhaps most importantly, they felt like themselves again.

Brain fog lifted. Emotional swings eased. That persistent sense of physical and mental exhaustion began to fade.

And guess what?

There's no restriction.
No deprivation.
No need for intense workouts.

“I tried a LOT of diets before – intermittent fasting, keto, high-protein. I counted calories, I did strength training like a lot of experts recommend for women with PCOS, and it felt like I was stuck in a loop of losing and regaining the same 5 lbs.

Then, I finally met Dr. Ann Mitchell. She told me about the PCOS Detox, how it’s done, and was kind enough to share the Cycle Diet plan I could follow at home so I didn’t have to re-book costly follow-up visits.

I started my personalized plan and lost 24 lbs during the first month. My periods finally regulated. I stopped breaking out around my jaw. And my bloating was gone for good.

It didn’t even feel like a diet. I can't believe how simple this was once I stopped counting calories and just followed my body!”

The Reality Is, PCOS Works AGAINST Your Metabolism

But it took many women YEARS to acknowledge that.

And here's the thing: a lot of those popular diets are made to work for... men.

Men don't have menstrual cycles.
They don't deal with hormonal shifts.
Their bodies don't cling to fat the way ours do when insulin and cortisol spike.

So when you follow a generic diet plan – keto, intermittent fasting, calorie counting – you're essentially forcing a female body with PCOS to operate like a male one.

No wonder it doesn't work.

The moment women stop fighting against their PCOS and start eating FOR their cycle, everything changes.

So if you've been cycling through diet after diet and still feeling stuck...

If you can't shake that heavy, inflamed feeling...

If you're tired of being told to "just eat less and move more" when you know your body doesn't work that way...

This PCOS detox approach might be exactly what you've been missing.

Thousands of women with PCOS are already using Cycle Diet’s PCOS Detox to calm insulin resistance, drain inflammation, and finally lose weight – without starving or punishing themselves.
